My name is Shelly. I am a "pre-middle aged" blessed wife and mother of a gorgeous, sweet, and totally "girlie" young woman. I am a daughter of the King, and an "earthly" daughter and caregiver to my wonderful parents. I live near the beautiful and bountiful Mid-Atlantic coast. I enjoy reading, cooking, drinking tea, frugal living, thrift store shopping, and taking care of my home, family, and dogs. I enjoy all of the blessings of creation. I love the Lord and I feel HE is calling me to speak to younger women regarding their "place" in HIS world. You may not agree with me regarding my views of the world; that is all right. I aspire (even at my mature age) to do so many things! I love to cook and I collect vintage cookbooks. I purchased a sewing maching a couple of years (!) ago; that I'm still trying to figure out. I fall short as a Christian sometimes. I procrastinate. I'm impatient. I'm flawed and totally imperfect. I'm envious (I know, that's bad news for us Christians) of those brilliant, beautiful ladies on the blogs who can craft anything at all out of nothing at all. Sigh. That said, feel free to post.
